Is GR Building Trades CU being sold or merged?
Absolutely not.We’ve changed our name by choice, not by merger or buyout.We are still the same people, the same products and services, and most importantly, you will receive the same great, personalized service.
Why are we changing our name?
Since in our founding 1956, we’ve evolved. Our new name better reflects who we are today and the people we serve.
When does the new name go into effect?
Over the next few months we will begin to phase in the new name. New signage will begin to go up with a goal of having all changed by of March 1st, 2010.We will also begin the process of introducing printed materials with our new name and logo.
Will my Credit Card, ATM or Debit Cards still work?
Yes, everything will still work the same. Upon reissue of your expired cards, the new cards will arrive with our new name and logo.
Will I need to order new checks?
No, You will continue to use the same checks you have today until the next time you reorder, your checks will arrive with our new name and logo)
Beyond the name, what else will change about GR Building Trades Credit Union?
- There are no changes in management or your Board of Directors.
- All employees will remain in place at our Credit Union.
- Day to day operations will be conducted as they are now – for example, there will be no change in your account or loan numbers.
- You still own the Credit Union and retain full membership rights.
- We will have a new name, but our values and operations will be the same, making the change seamless and all but unnoticeable to you.
Is there going to be a new website address?
Yes, It will be www.tradewindscu.com
Will my online banking be effected?
No.You will use the same login and password even after the website is updated with our new logo and look.You will have to update your favorites folder with our new web address to www.tradewindscu.com
Will there be a change in my statement?
Other than our new name and logo being on the header of the statement, there will not be any changes to the format.
Has the routing number been changed?
No. The routing number will remain the same.
Will any of my direct deposits or payroll deductions be affected?
No, Your deposits will continue to come through just as they always have.You do not need to notify you payroll company or any other financial institution.
Who do I make my loan payments to?
Starting January 1st, 2010, you can make your loans payable to Tradewinds Credit Union. Checks written to GR Building Trades Credit Union will also be honored.

Like CO-OP Network ATMs, 692667 (MYCOOP) is a surcharge-free service. But check with your mobile phone provider as standard text messaging rates apply. And don’t worry, you won’t receive any unsolicited messages by using 692667 (MYCOOP).

No Phishing! No Spoofing! No Kidding
 GR Building Trades Credit Union will never call or email our members to verify their user name and password with the credit union. There is a common scam called "phishing e-mails", which attempt to steal consumer's user names and passwords by imitating e-mail from legitimate financial institutions. Should you receive an e-mail requesting your user name and password information we urge you not to respond.
The Credit Union also wishes to advise our members of "spoofing"(setting up look-alike credit union and bank Web sites). GR Building Trades Credit Union has three registered domain names:

Anything else is not the real thing. Don't be spoofed by impostors.
